Monte Vista Unitarian Universalist Congregation (formerly the First Unitarian Society of Pomona Valley) has been a beacon of liberal religious life in the Pomona Valley since 1888. We are located just east of Los Angeles. We are a progressive community that encourages and supports individual spiritual quests while we work together for social justice.  We cherish the diversity of age, ability, belief, race, ethnicity, country of origin, language, economic status, education, political perspective, gender, sexual orientation or family structure.

We are Freethinker Friendly: we provide a welcoming community for people with atheist, agnostic, humanist , and other non-theistic world views.

We hope you will find a spiritual home with us.

MVUUC has a New Minister – the Rev. Pratima Dharm!

It’s official! We are proud to announce that Reverend Pratima Dharm has been installed as our new settled minister at our beloved Monte Vista Unitarian Universalist Congregation! It was a beautiful celebration and we wish to thank everyone who attended and volunteered to share in what we experience as “Joy in Community” at Monte Vista UU

Would You Like to Hold the Baby?

Amy Randall and Rev. Pratima Dharm

Envision a place where unacceptable folks are barred and religious intolerance is prevalent. Sound like the current news? This is actually an ancient story commonly known as the Nativity Story. Share in the retelling of this tale through a Unitarian Universalist lens. The familiar characters will be played by our own congregants, along with music by our choir. Join us as we celebrate the holidays and embrace the deepest meaning that Christmas holds for each one of us.
