  A group of Shiites in India practice some rites which the Sunnis disdain.  Some Christians also are in agreement that humans who suffer bodily pain caused by themselves will result in God’s blessing. Fortunately the majority don’t agree; but how, here in the year 2016, can such practices still take place?
