  Is there a relationship between physical clutter and mental/spiritual clutter?  I’ve certainly cleared out my life with so many moves over the past few years, but I still haul around my father’s books, and I manage to always stop unpacking before I’ve actually put everything away.  Do I like the stack of book boxes in the corners of my office and life?  There is something to the flow of energy, the relationship of space and mind, spirituality and theology, alluded to in the insights of feng shui.  As we enter a new year, how might we clear not just the physical, but the mental and emotional impediments that keep us from flowing into new awareness, compassion, and action?  Mary McMahon is Worship Associate.
