    Welcome!

We are people of all ages, people of many backgrounds, and people of many beliefs. We create spirituality and community beyond boundaries, working for more justice and more love in our own lives and in the world.  You are welcome to join us, add to our diversity and help us to make to make the world a a better place for ourselves and future generations.

    What to Expect

Our services begin promptly at 10:30 each Sunday morning, so if you are a first time visitor please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early.  You will be met at the door and led to our "visitors' table" located inside our sanctuary where services are held.  There you can obtain a name tag and basic information about our church and denomination.  On your way in you will also be given a copy of our hymnal, order of service and announcements.  (The order of service is like a program for a concert—it lists what’s happening in the service). If you have children, you may want to be shown where our children's religious education classes are held.  It’s fine if you wish to chat with the greeters and ushers, or to slip by quietly to find a seat. Our worship space has open seating, so find a place of your own choosing. Most of our member dress casually for service, but you may see some dresses or ties as well.  You are invited to dress in a manner you find comfortable.Services usually include readings, meditation, music, singing, a sermon and "joys and concerns" in which member's have an opportunity to share what is happening in their lives.  There will also be a collection taken for the support of the church, but first time visitors are not expected to participate unless they wish to do so.  Children are invited to attend the first few minutes of service and to participate in the collection of food donations from members in support of a local homeless shelter.  Following this collection, children will be led to their respective Sunday classes. After service, which usually ends around noon, there will be a social hour where members, visitors and friends have an opportunity to socialize and share food and coffee on our outdoor patio.  One of the tables on the patio is designated as a visitors' table.  There you would have the opportunity to talk with knowledgeable members about our church, our denomination or to have any questions you may have about our chosen faith answered to the best of our ability.  Or you may simply wish to "mingle with the crowd".  We hope you will join us for this social time as we all look forward to getting to know you.
