Lay Led Ministry

Monte Vista Unitarian Universalist Congregation is lay-led. This means that we do not have a minister and instead the spiritual care of our community is the shared responsibility of our members.

Sunday morning services are designed and facilitated collaboratively by members of our Spiritual Life Team. We are utilizing several Unitarian Universalist services which provide service materials, including Soul Matters and a Sermon of the Month service recommended by our Regional Representative, Rev. Summer Albayati.

The last Sunday of each month will feature an all-ages alternative service with a short time of worship followed by breakout sessions with guided discussions, art activities, letter writing, and other participatory sessions.

If you are in need of Pastoral Care, please reach out to a member of our Pastoral Care working group whose members have training to offer supportive tending in times of distress, need, or grief.
