The UUA General Assembly takes place in New Orleans, June 21 – 25. This year we will be voting on a new UUA president to lead us at this crucial time in our history when many of our UU ideals seem at risk. Please check out the three candidates and information about the process at www.uua.org/uuagovernance/elections. Our congregation will have four voting delegates, including Rev. Susan. If you wish to inform our delegates of your preference, ballots will be available at the Congregational Meeting on May 21st.  If you are attending GA and wish to be a delegate, please contact Board President, Rita Salama.

The Convocation’s theme is “Weaving Global Partnerships…Forging a Just Future Together.” The event will bring together UU women from around the world to connect, share, celebrate, and empower in the beautiful, inspirational setting of Asilomar, CA, “a refuge by the sea.”

General Assembly (GA) 2016 is the annual meeting of our Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). Attendees worship, witness, learn, connect, and make policy for the Association through democratic process. Anyone may attend. Held in Columbus, Ohio this year; 2017 in New Orleans.  The theme for GA 2016 will be Heart Land: Where Faiths Connect. The faith world is increasingly multifaith.

We have now transitioned to digital archival recording of Sunday services, and we are no longer making archival cassette tapes of the Sunday services.  We are making plans to have approved sermons available online in the future.  Meanwhile, if you would like a digital mp3 copy of an approved Sunday sermon, please provide a USB flash drive to Bruce Mount, and state the date of the Sunday service of which you would like to have a sermon copy.  Flash drives of 16 Gb capacity can be purchased on Amazon.com for as little as $5.00, and many other places as well, but a USB drive of any capacity would be OK.  Recordings of Sunday services have been archived starting from the service of Sunday, May 15, 2016.
